About Me
“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. You are the guy who’ll decide where to go.” ― Dr. Seuss
I began working at Dallas College – Richland Campus (formerly Richland College) while completing my Associate in Science Degree there. Then I transferred to the University of Texas at Dallas in Richardson where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with emphasis in Health, Education, and Science. Now, after being out of school for 18 years, I have enrolled in the Educational Technology Leadership Master’s Degree program. This is my first course, Intro to Educational Technology (ETEC – 524).
I’d like to improve my current technology skills and learn additional tools, strategies, and pedagogies to effectively incorporate technology in educational environments.
This semester I am completing my final two courses and submitting this ePortfolio required to graduate with my master's degree in educational technology leadership. It is hard to believe that again after twenty years and during a pandemic that I decided to continue my education, but I am glad I did. This have been a very challenging and meaningful learning experience for me. The learning experience that I have had with the outstanding educators at TAMUC like Dr. Dondlinger, Dr. Francis, Dr. Dziorny, and Dr. Bigenho have facilitated course content through these learning processes. In addition, through these meaningful learning opportunities in the past two years, I have married for the first time in my half century of life (on ground hogs' day, no less), my husband and I have adopted another pet, a double goldendoodle puppy named Denver, and I moved to Ennis Texas where my husband and I built a house to call home with our three furever friends.
